Quietly Games operates Code Word - Cryptogram Puzzle, previously called Secret Letters. This policy covers the app, this website, and the support and optional online services described below.
- Local game data. Code Word does not require an account. Puzzle progress, hint and heart state, onboarding state, downloaded content, and settings are stored on your device. There is no cloud-progress sync. Removing the app may remove this local data.
- Daily content and downloads. Bundled and downloaded puzzles work offline. New Daily content and other available content downloads use online delivery services hosted through Cloudflare. Requests can include IP address, requested content paths, and app or network information needed to deliver and protect the service. Purchases, restoration, friend help, and supported mobile advertising and push services also use the internet.
- Purchases. RevenueCat supports the optional Monthly subscription, Lifetime Premium purchase, and purchase restoration. It can connect when the app initializes or checks purchase access, not just when you buy. RevenueCat and the applicable app store may process an anonymous app user identifier, app and device information, store transactions, entitlement status, and network information needed to validate purchases. Quietly Games does not receive your full payment-card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Reminders and mobile push notifications. macOS uses local notifications for Daily reminders and does not initialize Firebase Cloud Messaging. Supported iOS and Android builds initialize Firebase Cloud Messaging, which may process installation identifiers, messaging tokens, device or app information, and network data to operate push delivery. Disabling notification display in system settings does not itself disable the messaging SDK's initialization. Notification preferences and permission control which reminders are displayed. - Friend help. If you ask friends for help, our Cloudflare-hosted service processes a random installation identifier, request identifiers, authorization information, request expiry, and reward status. You choose who receives the public help link. The helper webpage uses an identifier cookie to limit repeated support and may use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse. The service also receives network request data needed to operate and protect it. Code Word does not access your contacts or upload puzzle progress as part of a help request.
- Advertising on mobile. The macOS edition does not use Google Mobile Ads. Supported iOS and Android editions may show banner ads below puzzle controls, story-entry interstitial ads after onboarding, and optional rewarded ads that you choose for extra help. Google may process IP address, device and app information, coarse location derived from IP, permitted advertising or app identifiers, and ad interaction data for delivery, security, and measurement. Google User Messaging Platform handles applicable consent and Privacy Choices. See Google's privacy policy.
- Analytics, crash diagnostics, and permissions. Release builds use Firebase Analytics for aggregate app and product interaction events, including screen views, onboarding, story and chapter activity, hints, completion, settings, feedback, and rating actions. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and selected non-fatal diagnostics. Firebase may process installation or device identifiers, IP-derived coarse location, app, device, and operating-system information, product interaction, crash data, and other diagnostic data for these purposes. Code Word does not request contacts or precise-location access. Quietly Games does not sell personal information. See Firebase's privacy information.
- If you email support, Quietly Games receives your email address, message, and any device or diagnostic details you choose to include. We retain support messages only as needed to answer and maintain support records.
- This website. These marketing, support, privacy, and terms pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process IP address, browser information, and request logs to deliver and protect the site. The separate friend-help service has the cookie and anti-abuse behavior described above. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Retention and your choices. Local progress remains on your device until removed. Online service records are retained as needed to provide the feature, prevent abuse, meet store or legal requirements, and resolve support requests; providers describe their own retention practices in the linked policies. You can change available advertising privacy choices in Settings, restore purchases from the Premium page, and manage notification permissions in system settings. Removing the app can delete local progress but does not cancel a subscription or automatically erase store or provider records. - Code Word is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when app behavior or providers change, with a revised effective date on this page.
