Quietly Games operates Quiet Crossword. This policy explains how the current app and support channel handle information.
- Quiet Crossword does not require an account. Game progress and settings are stored on the device. Removing the app may remove this local data.
- The current build has no cloud-progress service, advertising SDK, behavioural advertising, or cross-app tracking.
- When the optional friend-support feature is released and used, the app creates random anonymous installation and help credentials and stores them locally. The owner credential is not included in a shared link. The app does not upload puzzle, story, progress, answer, entered-word, failed-word, contact, name, message, or recipient information for friend support.
- A shared friend-support link contains a public anonymous request capability, not an owner credential. The help service may store the public request, support count, immutable grant identifiers, a helper digest, a secure helper cookie, and short-lived rate-limit or challenge data to prevent abuse. Request, grant, and helper-digest records age out within 30 days.
- Friend support is voluntary. The system share sheet is controlled by you; Quiet Crossword does not read your contacts or recipients and does not know whether sharing was completed. A friend can support without installing or signing in, and the generic support page does not collect a name, message, contacts, puzzle, story, progress, or answer.
- The friend-support page is delivered and protected through Cloudflare. When unusual traffic is challenged, Cloudflare Turnstile and server-side verification may process the challenge response and limited request data needed to protect the service. This feature is optional; its availability may vary until it is released.
- Firebase Analytics records app opens and aggregate product events such as onboarding progress, story and chapter activity, hints, completion, settings changes, sharing, feedback, and chapter exits. Friend-support analytics are limited to aggregate empty-hint, request, share-panel, sync, grant-applied, and hint-source events. They do not include tokens, request or grant identifiers, shared URLs, answers, cell locations, failed words, contacts, names, messages, or recipients.
- Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and related app, device, and operating-system diagnostics. Firebase Performance Monitoring receives performance diagnostics.
- Firebase may process a device identifier, coarse location derived from an IP address, product interaction, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data. This data is used for analytics and app functionality, is not linked to a Quietly account, and is not used for cross-app tracking.
- If you email support, Quietly Games receives your email address, message, and any device or diagnostic details you choose to include. We retain support messages only as needed to answer and maintain support records.
- This website is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process limited request data, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site.
- Friend-support service analytics, when the feature is used, are aggregate: page views, accepted, duplicate, full, or expired support, challenge outcomes, first-support timing, and store or website CTA platform. They do not contain the public or owner token, installation, request, or grant identifier, cookie, IP address, user agent, puzzle content, answer, contact, name, or message. These measurements do not claim installation or purchase attribution.
- Deleting the app removes its local friend-support state with the app. Server-side friend-support records age out within 30 days. You may contact us with privacy questions or requests using the address below.
- If a future release adds subscriptions or other third-party services, this policy and the relevant store privacy disclosure will be updated before that release.
